This interactive and self-paced tutorial demonstrates the major features of the LandView III and shows how to navigate the programs. The tutorial features Cross-Browser Dynamic HTML techniques, such as hiding, showing and moving layers, dragging objects, animation, and windows-style drop-down menus, etc. It also integrates Interactive Forms, the Common Gateway Interface (CGI), Frames, and Animated GIFs in the design of the WBT. The purpose of the tutorial is to explore a new approach for CD-ROM training using advanced Web technologies which simulate and demonstrate the interactive use of the CD-ROM as well as the actual search process of the database.
.
This tutorial helps you learn how to start the CD-ROM, perform some basic MARPLOT functions, and access LandView III's databases. For convenience this tutorial does not cover the thematic mapping function. When you finish the tutorial, please fill out and submit the online Evaluation Form. Thank you.
