Access
All materials in the Cushing Memorial Library are non-circulating. The access to the library's
stacks is closed and materials are paged
upon request for use in the Reading Room only.
Researchers should consult the staff member at the Reading Room service desk about the
availability of materials and the procedures for using finding aids and for requesting materials.
Researchers using items from our collections must register and present a current form of photo
identification. Only pencils may be used with these materials. Paper is provided by the library
for researchers. Portable computers are permissible provided that their use does not disturb other
researchers. A complete set of rules and information governing the use of Cushing materials is available. These rules were
designed to protect the materials and to ensure that they will be available for future use.
Hours
The Cushing Memorial Library is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and for extended reading hours Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. Access to archive, manuscript, and
photograph collections during the extended reading hours is by prior arrangement only. We are closed university holidays. For further information, please contact our office.
Location
The Cushing Memorial Library is now located in the newly renovated Cushing Library building, which is adjacent to the Sterling C. Evans Library building. Entry is gained through the first floor west entrance.

Photo Duplication Services
Photo duplication services are
available in the Cushing Memorial Library on a very limited basis. Requests for copies of
materials will be reviewed by a staff member to determine whether duplication processes will damage the material and to ensure that
copying is in conformance with any restrictions on the materials.
When requesting copies of our materials, please plan ahead. Orders are filled on a first-come,
first-serve basis. The turn around time for photocopies is 24 hours and three to seven days for
photographs. Payment is due upon receipt of the product. Cash or checks only. Regrettably, we
