Birthday Assignment
Are you working on an assignment that requires you to find news articles or an event that happened on your birthday? We have some historical newspapers online to help you get started.
Here is a handout for News Sources to help you get started....
1. Go to http://library.tamu.edu/handouts
2. Click on "Starting Points Handouts"
3. Click on "Starting Points for News Sources"
4. You will need Adobe to view the handout, the links are live, so you can connect directly to the news sources
Hint: You can use the Historical News Sources and format your search to only search a particular date. For example, choose the New York Times, when you get there, click on the Advanced Tab, then put a date into "On this Date." You can also limit to the front page by clicking on "More Search Options" and changing the "Document Type" dropdown list to Front Page.
